Dr. Cristina Carboni earned her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University. After completing her doctoral studies, Cristina became interested in the relationship between the mind and body and the potential to improve one’s overall quality of life by healing the mind. When she completed the MAP Healing Program in 2019, she experienced complete trauma healing, relief, and peace. She chose to become a MAP Practitioner and has dedicated herself to supporting MAP’s research efforts, because she desires to support others in changing their lives through MAP’s gentle and effective approach to healing.

MAP is a non-medical approach for emotional wellbeing and personal growth.

* In data from over 678 responses from MAP recipients from 2019-2025, 57.2% of respondents had reported trying other healing modalities before trying MAP. Out of those who had attempted other healing modalities, responses ranged from 1 to 8 methods previously attempted, with 94% of those attempting between 1-4 other healing methods to resolve trauma.

* In data from 2019-2025, 98% of responses from over 500 qualifying MAP recipients reported either a reduction in weekly frequency of traumatic flashbacks or maintenance of minimal weekly traumatic flashbacks by the final week of the 12-week MAP Program.

* In data from 2019-2025, 90.1% of MAP recipients who responded to our follow-up survey reported that they felt the root of their trauma remained resolved up to two years after completing the 12-week MAP Program.
